History: Kat used to belong to a ranch that bred barrel racers and racehorses. Kat was originally trained on the barrel racing, but was then moved to the racetrack, where she excelled. Although not the fastest horse, she won her share of races, and was ranked in the top ten mares of her age group. A break to her back right leg ended her career, but thankfully not her life. She was turned out to pasture, occasionally used for summer trail rides hosted for tourists. Her high strung nature ended this however, when she bucked off a 45 year old man and broke his arm. She remained out at pasture until a disgruntled, recently fired stablehand burnt down the ranch, and she escaped through the collapsed portion of the fence.
